Meet The River District

The River District is a mixed-use master-planned community by Crescent Communities, between the Catawba River and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. West Boulevard was extended from I-485 into the community in September 2024. The first homeowner closed in August 2025, and the full build-out is expected to take 8 to 10 years. Plans call for up to 8 million square feet of commercial space and 500,000 square feet of retail over time.
